The rule that applies
Food-contact articles fall under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code; the importer carries the compliance duty. That single sentence drives most of the paperwork: the article has to be suitable for its intended use, and the evidence has to be traceable to the material and the production batch.
What we can send now, and what is pending
Material declaration and production specification are available immediately. Migration and food-contact test reports are issued per material batch, so the certificate number on the page is only valid for the batch it was issued against. Every certificate field on our product pages is marked pending factory confirmation until the number and validity date are on file — that marker is deliberate, not an oversight.
Plant health and material origin
Australian biosecurity is strict on plant material. Finished, coated bamboo ware is normally accepted, but bark, soil and raw bamboo are not — confirm before booking.. If your market asks for a phytosanitary certificate, tell us at the quotation stage: it changes the packing and the timeline, and it cannot be added after the container is booked.
How to read a test report
Check four fields before you accept a report: the sample description and material, the test standard and the laboratory accreditation, the date and the batch reference, and whether the test covers the actual use (hot liquid, acidic food, repeated washing). A report that tests a different article with the same material is not evidence for your SKU.

Tests are run per material batch. We can send the current report with its batch reference; if your order uses a new batch, we schedule a fresh test and state the lead time in the quotation.
Is bamboo food-contact safe?
Bamboo tableware is used for food contact in the EU, US and Brazil when it is finished with a food-safe oil and tested for migration. The compliance argument rests on the test report, not on the word 'natural'.
Can you provide a declaration of compliance?
Yes, we issue a declaration naming the article, the materials and the test basis. It is available before shipment so your licensed customs broker can review it.
Does the certificate cover every size?
Not automatically. A report is issued against a material and a construction, so a new size or a new finish needs confirmation that it falls inside the tested scope.
